Itinerary

Day 0: Delhi to Shimla | Overnight Journey

  • The adventure begins as the WanderVeda group gathers at the designated spot at 9 PM.
  • After meeting the team captains and a quick briefing session, we embark on an overnight journey to Shimla, heading towards the hills of Himachal Pradesh.

Day 1: Shimla to Chitkul (225 Kilometers, 9 Hours)

  • Early morning, we arrive in Shimla and transfer to Tempo Travelers to continue our journey along the stunning Hindustan-Tibet Highway.
  • En route, we pass through the charming towns of Kufri, Narkanda, Rampur, Sangla, and Rakcham, taking in the sights of the Karcham Dam and the flowing Sutlej River.
  • Upon reaching Chitkul, check into your hotel and enjoy a warm welcome with group bonding activities.
  • Dinner followed by an overnight stay in Chitkul/Sangla.

Day 2: Chitkul Sightseeing Day

  • After a delightful breakfast, we set out to explore Chitkul.
  • Start the day with a visit to the ISBT Camp, where you can admire the majestic Baspa Valley and relax by the peaceful Baspa River.
  • Visit the spiritual Kagyupa Temple, known for its stunning architecture and serene ambience.
  • Conclude the day by indulging in local cuisine at Hindustan Ka Aakhri Dhaba, the last eatery before the Indo-Tibetan border.
  • Return to the campsite or hotel for a cosy dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 3: Chitkul to Shimla | Return to Delhi

  • After breakfast, we begin our return journey to Shimla, retracing our scenic route.
  • Upon arriving in Shimla, we’ll board an overnight bus for our journey back to Delhi.
  • Early morning arrival in Delhi, where the group will part ways with beautiful memories of Chitkul’s natural wonders.
