Itinerary

Day 1: Guwahati Arrival
• Upon arrival in Guwahati, the group will meet at the designated pick-up point for a quick briefing by the trip captain.
• Start the journey to Shillong, famously known as the “Scotland of the East” for its picturesque landscapes and cool climate.
• Check into your hotel upon arrival and enjoy an evening exploring Shillong’s lively cafes and markets.
• Dinner and overnight stay in Shillong.

 

Day 2: Shillong to Shnongpdeng 
• After breakfast, set off for the crystal-clear Dawki River, famous for its glass-like water.
• Stop by the beautiful Phe Phe Waterfall, a two-tiered cascade nestled in a paradise-like setting.
• Arrive in Shnongpdeng, a peaceful village on the banks of the Dawki River, where you’ll stay at riverside camps. In the evening, enjoy a bonfire under the stars.
• Dinner and overnight camping in Shnongpdeng.

 

Day 3: Dawki to Cherrapunji 
• After breakfast, enjoy thrilling water sports such as cliff jumping, boating, and snorkeling in the turquoise waters of Dawki River.
• Later, head towards Cherrapunji, known for its unique living root bridges and lush green surroundings.
• En route, visit Mawlynnong, recognized as Asia’s cleanest village, and enjoy panoramic views of the Bangladesh plains.
• Arrive in Cherrapunji and check into your hotel for a relaxing evening.

 

Day 4: Trek to Double Decker Bridge
• Begin the day with a visit to the iconic Seven Sisters Falls, a seven-segmented waterfall cascading down a rocky cliff.
• Explore the mystical Mawsmai Caves, made of limestone and adorned with beautiful stalactites.
• Embark on a trek to the famed Double Decker Living Root Bridge in Nongriat village, a true marvel of nature.
• Return to Cherrapunji in the evening for dinner and overnight stay.

 

Day 5: Cherrapunji to Shillong
• After breakfast, visit the Nohkalikai Waterfall, the tallest plunge waterfall in India, standing at an impressive 1,115 feet.
• Continue to the Garden of Caves, a magical wonderland of rocky hills, waterfalls, and lush greenery.
• On the way to Shillong, stop at Laitlum Canyons for sweeping views of the Meghalaya valleys.
• Arrive in Shillong and enjoy a relaxed evening before staying overnight at the hotel.

 

Day 6: Shillong to Kaziranga
• Depart for Kaziranga National Park after breakfast, driving through scenic landscapes and deep jungles.
• Stop by Umiam Lake, a picturesque reservoir surrounded by sylvan hills.
• Arrive at your resort in Kaziranga, nestled amidst lush greenery, and spend the evening relaxing or participating in recreational activities.
• Dinner and overnight stay at the resort.

 

Day 7: Early Morning Safari | Kaziranga to Guwahati
• Begin the day with an early morning Jeep Safari in Kaziranga National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its population of the rare One-Horned Rhinoceros, elephants, and other wildlife.
• After the safari, head back to Guwahati for your departure.
• Depart from Guwahati with beautiful memories of the wild beauty and serene landscapes of Meghalaya and Kaziranga.
