Kashmir's Enchanted Landscapes: Srinagar and Beyond

Itinerary

Day 1: Srinagar Arrival | Shikara Ride
• The group will arrive at a rendezvous point in Srinagar early in the morning, where the trip captain will provide a brief introduction.
• Upon arrival, we’ll check into our designated houseboat. Afterward, we’ll embark on a local sightseeing tour in the afternoon, visiting the prominent Mughal Gardens, including Nishat Bagh, located on the eastern bank of Dal Lake, and Shalimar Bagh, known as the Abode of Love, built by Mughal Emperor Jehangir for his queen.
• In the evening, we’ll enjoy a Shikara ride on the pristine waters of Dal Lake, considered the jewel of Kashmir.
• Dinner will be served, followed by an overnight stay in our houseboat in Srinagar.

Day 2: Drive to Gulmarg | Gondola Ride
• After an early breakfast, we’ll check out of our houseboat and head to Gulmarg, one of Kashmir's most popular hill stations known for its lush green grasslands and alpine slopes.
• Upon arrival in Gulmarg, we'll enjoy a thrilling Gondola ride to Kongdoori Peak.
• In the evening, we’ll check into our hotel in Gulmarg. Dinner followed by an overnight stay in Gulmarg.

Day 3: Drive to Pahalgam 
• After breakfast, we’ll set off for Pahalgam, a beautiful hill station known for its picturesque blooming meadows.
• We’ll traverse winding roads, offering surreal views via Pampore and Awantipura.
• Upon reaching Pahalgam, we’ll check into our hotel and explore the local market, where travellers can shop for souvenirs and indulge in local food.
• Dinner followed by an overnight stay in Pahalgam.

Day 4: Pahalgam Sightseeing | Drive to Srinagar 
• After breakfast, we’ll check out of our hotel and embark on a sightseeing tour of Pahalgam.
• We’ll visit Aru Valley, known for its scenic meadows, and the enchanting Betaab Valley, nestled between the Pir Panjal and Zanskar ranges of the Himalayas.
• Lastly, we’ll visit Chandanwadi, the starting point for the Amarnath Yatra.
• In the evening, we’ll head back to Srinagar and check into our hotel. Dinner followed by an overnight stay in Srinagar.

Day 5: Sonmarg Excursion
• After breakfast, we’ll head to Sonmarg Valley, a hidden gem in Kashmir known for its lush green pastures that turn golden under the summer sun.
• Travelers can opt for fun-filled activities like a pony ride to Thajiwas Glacier to admire stunning views of the frozen glacier (at your own expense).
• After spending some peaceful moments in the valley, we’ll head back to Srinagar.
• Dinner followed by an overnight stay in Srinagar.

Day 6: Departure from Srinagar | Trip Ends
• After breakfast, we’ll check out of our hotel.
• The group will disband and go their separate ways, cherishing fond memories according to their scheduled departures.
• This marks the end of our remarkable journey with WanderVeda.
